Prize of Hagia Sophia Gold Orthodox Cross

An 18K solid yellow Gold Byzantine Cross with decorative granulation, wirework and a faceted ruby set at its center.  The meticulously handcrafted jewel displays fine rosette granulation as well as trinity pattern along its rounded symmetries, highlighting the symbols of devotion, purity and life. 

A precious blossom itself, the cross hangs gracefully from a nonintrusive ringed bail, and may be worn on either side, displaying the inset ruby, or revealing the side of pure gold and artistic granulation.
